Syndicated radio program based in Sacramento, California, which discussed Christianity and spirituality in music. The show broadcast from 1977 through 1981.
It was a great nationally syndicated Radio show from the Warehouse in Sacramento (home of Exit Records). The "Rock & Religion" vinyl series was a collection of albums that featured various Christian rock artists during the 1970s. These albums were part of a movement to combine rock music with Christian themes, often referred to as "Jesus Music."
These albums were important in promoting the emerging Jesus Music movement, which later evolved into the contemporary Christian music (CCM) genre. They provided a platform for Christian artists to reach a wider audience with their music while sharing their faith through rock and pop sounds. The "Rock & Religion" series played a pivotal role in the history of Christian rock music.
It's an interview, interspersed with clips of the artist's music. I haven't heard this one but I've heard one of the others in the series. A host interviews the artist and asks them about their faith, playing clips of their music in between.
