LIZZY BORDEN
Few bands embody the drama, danger, and sheer spectacle of 80s heavy metal quite like Lizzy Borden. With a perfect mix of theatrical flair, razor-sharp riffs, and anthemic choruses, Lizzy carved out a reputation as one of Metal Blade’s most flamboyant and unforgettable acts. Now, thanks to Brutal Planet Records, two essential collections return in expanded and definitive form — available on both CD and vinyl for the first time in decades.
From the cult-classic EPs Give ’Em the Axe (1984) and Terror Rising (1987), to the brand-new Best of Volume 2 anthology that dives deep into Lizzy’s modern era (2004–2018), these reissues showcase every side of a band that has never shied away from the spotlight. Whether you’re chasing the raw energy of Lizzy’s early years or the polished power of their later recordings, these releases deliver a must-have experience for both longtime fans and new listeners ready to enter the world of Lizzy Borden.
With limited-edition colored vinyl, bonus tracks, and exclusive material appearing for the first time on physical format, these editions won’t stay on the shelves for long. Check out all four versions below — and secure your copy while they last.

ABOUT THE ALBUM
Step into the spotlight and experience Lizzy Borden like never before. The Best of Lizzy Borden, Vol. 2 finally arrives on vinyl — a dramatic collection of 16 tracks spanning 2004–2018 that showcases Lizzy’s unmistakable mix of theatrical metal, soaring melodies, and dark-edged showmanship. Vol. 2 picks up where 1994’s Best of Lizzy’ Borden leaves off, containing 12 tracks that showcase the Deal with the Devil (2000), Appointment with Death (2007) and My Midnight Things (2018) albums.
Pressed on stunning Emerald Green Swirl 2LP and housed in a gatefold jacket, this edition brings together the band’s modern-era anthems with collector-grade presentation. Fans will discover two exclusive covers — “Pet Sematary” (The Ramones) and “Burnin’ For You” (Blue Öyster Cult) — making their first-ever appearance on physical format, as well as two rare Starwood tracks, “Won’t Back Down” and “Subculture”, originally from the album If It Ain’t Broke, Break It (reissued on vinyl by Brutal Planet Records).
Tracks mastered by Tom Baker (Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Judas Priest, Stone Temple Pilots) and vinyl mastering by Rob Colwell (Nevermore, King’s X, Helstar, Stuck Mojo) ensure every note hits with full impact.
This isn’t just a compilation on wax — it’s a commanding statement of Lizzy Borden’s later years, brought to life with the size, weight, and presence only vinyl can deliver. With just 500 copies pressed worldwide, it’s a release destined to vanish as quickly as it appeared from the shadows.
