ABOUT THE ALBUM
Legacy emerged from Columbus, Ohio, in 1987 with a mission to combine uncompromising Christian faith with powerful heavy metal. Influenced by bands like Stryper and Dokken, the group quickly built a reputation throughout the Midwest, opening for Christian rock legends including REZ, Shout, Sacred Warrior, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, and Allies, while also competing successfully in the secular club scene.
The band's energetic live performances, strong songwriting, and unmistakable melodic metal sound earned Legacy features in CCM Magazine and Heaven's Metal and placed them on the verge of a larger breakthrough.
Unfortunately, changing musical trends and lineup changes brought the band's original run to an unexpected end in the early 1990s. Although Legacy left behind a respected catalog and a devoted following, fans were left wondering what might have been.
More than three decades later, Hello, New World finally answers that question.
