Undoubting Thomas – In the Process Of (CD)
In the Process Of is the debut solo release from Undoubting Thomas, the new progressive rock project by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Thomas McKeown, best known as a member of the cult 1980s prog band Damascus.
Launched in October 2024, In the Process Of is a sweeping concept album that explores the tension between faith, doubt, and suffering. Through lush synths, intricate guitar work, and emotive vocals, McKeown weaves immersive soundscapes that draw influence from both classic and modern prog legends such as Genesis, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, and Riverside.
Lyrically, the album asks timeless questions: Is God still good when everything is falling apart? Is there meaning in our suffering? These themes pulse throughout, offering solace and honesty to listeners wrestling with grief, depression, or deconstruction — while still reaching toward hope.
Featuring striking new cover art and layout by Scott Waters (NLTM Graphics), In the Process Of stands as both an intensely personal statement and a bold addition to the modern progressive rock landscape.
The lead single, “Love and Life”, is already streaming and being serviced to media and radio outlets worldwide.
