Morgan Cryar’s debut album More Than Meets the Eye was defining moment in the early days of contemporary Christian music. Released in 1981 as an independent release it was a groundbreaking, setting new standards for Christian pop/rock with its radio-ready production, deeply spiritual lyrics, and top-tier musicianship.

It was supported by elite session players, including Jerry McPherson on guitars, Paul Mills on keys and string arrangements, Kemper Crabb (Atomic Opera) on Harmonica and percussion. No wonder it was such high quality yet groundbreaking.  There's truly something to be said about having all the right people on your team. 

Now fully remastered for the Legends of Rock™ series, this long-lost classic is available on CD for the first time ever.

Hey Friends,

Way back before I signed a first recording contract, I recorded my first independent album entitled More Than Meets the Eye.  It’s been a long time coming, but I’m excited to finally see More Than Meets the Eye and Keep No Secrets (my first label album) released on CD — for the very first time. These albums have always held a special place in my heart, and to know they’re being remastered and brought back to life by Girder Records is honestly quite a gift.

When we recorded these songs, I never dreamed where they might go. I'm incredibly grateful for the memories these albums carry, and for the listeners who are still listening (as well as those who are just now discovering this music for the first time).
