As a local band of mine, I've been going to see High Wycombe's Motherload live for a while and have watched them improve each time so am glad that they have brought out an album that matches their potential. Basically, if you're a fan of late 80's/early 90's metal from the likes of Black Label Society, Metallica, Skid Row, Pantera etc. then you need Black and Blue in your record collection. Big, dirty, sometimes bluesy riffs, big choruses, they also know when to bring the energy levels down a bit, making the faster parts even more filthy. A very promising debut and hopefully one they can build on.
