Scarce original LP release from Fish House Fellowship Band, Desert Plains, issued in 1980 by Fish Records (#1002).  LP is factory sealed, glossy and clean. 

A tremendous record; here’s a review from Ken Scott’s Archivist: 

“Astonishing custom release of “radical grass – a bluegrass sound influenced by diverse musical sources”, mostly folk and country I’d say.  It’s a rare treat in the vein of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s Will The Circle Be Unbroken.  This is one exceptionally talented band abounding in originality and staying true to a grassroots woodsy folk feel.  The musicians: Phil Franck on fiddle and banjo, Doug Rudy on mandolin and fiddle, Louie Basso handling guitar and harmonica, Don Smith on bass, and Debbie Flower-Smith on vocals and additional mandolin.  Franck and Rudy in particular are masters of their instruments.  The music jams at breakneck speed with solos aplenty for everyone.  Not a single break in the energy until side two where the more reflective covers of ‘Ghost Riders’ and ‘Wildwood Flower’ reside.  From the Columbus, Ohio fellowship of the same name.  Very highly recommended.”
