For the first time ever, Retroactive Records brings Whose Side You On? by Giantkiller to CD, a treasured release for fans of Jesus Music, early Christian rock, and CCM. Originally released in 1981 in the U.K. on Chapel Lane Records (and later re-titled Valley of Decision for U.S. distribution by Star Song), this album is the second by this pioneering U.K. Jesus Music band. Ranked at #265 on CCM’s 500 Best Albums of All Time, Whose Side You On? represents a powerful moment in Christian rock history, blending passionate lyrics with the raw edge of early rock.

Giantkiller’s sound captures the spirit of Christian Euro rock contemporaries like Ishmael, The Predators, Bill Mason Band, and Alwyn Wall, while resonating with fans of early DeGarmo & Key, Lifesavors, Undercover, The Imitators, and The Choir. The album was mixed by Christian rock veterans Kemper Crabb (of Arkangel-Warrior fame) and Jimmy Hotz (known for Beyond the Crystal Sea), with Hotz producing the album in Houston, TX. In 2021, Hotz remastered the original master tapes from scratch, elevating the audio quality for a modern listening experience.

This reissue includes heartfelt reflections from lead guitarist Pete Gilgan and original producer Jimmy Hotz, along with a band biography to reintroduce fans to the groundbreaking sound of Giantkiller. Honestly, I can't believe we released these classics 5 years ago .... I can't believe that it's "official".... we first started conversation with Ulf Christiansson and the Jerusalem camp in December 2009 about Jerusalem CD reissues.  It took many e-mails, and a great deal of patience to see this all through for the band.  Jerusalem had experienced so many disappointments with US labels (and European as well) that they were not eager to team up with anyone for fear of more disappointment.  We are thrilled that in 2018 we finally got to provide high quality CD remasters of these six legendary epic Christian hard rock releases.  It is an honor and priviledge to work with Ulf and Jerusalem to make this dream a reality.  Scott Waters (layouts) and Rob Colwell (remasters) went the extra mile (as usual!) and leave us with these Jerusalem CD treasures.

All CDs are packaged in jewel cases with 12 page inserts featuring lyrics, and awesome band pictures!  Can't Stop Us Now features quality bonus material, and Dancing On the Head of the Serpent is a 2 CD Set featuring one disc with the USA version of the release and the second disc featuring the original European release version. And YES there's a huge difference between the two!  The Euro version is much dirtier and grittier!  We love them both!
