Originally released in 2008, The Dream marked a defining creative leap for In This Moment. Moving away from the metalcore intensity of their debut, the band embraced a more melodic and cinematic approach—drawing from ’80s-influenced hard rock, modern metal, and emotionally charged atmospheres.
The album unfolds with intention, balancing explosive highs with haunting restraint. Guitars remain powerful yet textured, rhythms groove with confidence, and melody takes center stage. Vocalist Maria Brink leans more heavily into singing, expanding the band’s emotional range while maintaining the intensity that made them stand out.
The 2026 Brutal Planet Records edition presents The Dream in its most immersive vinyl form to date.
