With What Planet Are You From?, Galactic Cowboys return with their first new studio album since 2017's Long Way Back to the Moon. Released independently through their own Cosmic Outpost Records, the album was made possible through an ambitious Kickstarter campaign that raised more than $88,000 from 579 supporters.
Original members Ben Huggins (vocals and guitar), Monty Colvin (bass and vocals), and Dane Sonnier (guitar and vocals) deliver another chapter in the band's musical history, emphasizing the heavy guitars, progressive arrangements, and layered harmonies that have always distinguished their sound.
Remembering Johnny Simmons - His Final Studio Recordings
Perhaps the most significant story behind What Planet Are You From? is the contribution of longtime drummer Johnny Simmons. His powerful performances provide the rhythmic foundation for the recording, bringing the precision and intensity that helped define Galactic Cowboys throughout their career.
