Stories: The John Elefante Collection brings together 19 songs from an extraordinary career spanning Kansas, Mastedon, acclaimed solo albums, soundtrack work, and decades of melodic and progressive rock.
John Elefante first reached an international audience when he became the lead vocalist and keyboardist for Kansas, contributing to an important early-'80s chapter in the band's history. His unmistakable voice became part of albums including Vinyl Confessions and Drastic Measures.
Kansas was only one part of the story. Working closely with his brother Dino Elefante, John went on to create Mastedon, build a major production career, and release a substantial body of solo work that blended melodic rock, AOR, progressive rock, and contemporary Christian music.
Stories brings those different chapters together. Kansas is represented by “Fight Fire With Fire” and “Play the Game Tonight,” while Mastedon contributes “Taken Down Below” and “Revolution of Mind.”
