Originally released during the golden era of Christian heavy metal, Legacy introduced listeners to one of Ohio's finest melodic metal bands. Formed in Columbus in 1987, Legacy quickly earned a reputation for powerful songwriting, soaring vocal melodies, and energetic live performances that placed them among the Midwest's premier Christian metal acts. The band shared stages with legendary artists including REZ, Shout, Sacred Warrior, Mylon LeFevre & Broken Heart, and Allies, while also building a loyal following throughout the regional rock scene.
Influenced by bands like Stryper and Dokken while forging their own melodic identity, Legacy combined driving guitars, layered harmonies, memorable choruses, and lyrics centered on faith and hope.
