For fans of classic Christian metal, the story behind TRAXTER and Take Heed is something special.
Formed in Bakersfield, California in 1987, TRAXTER made their mark on the Christian rock and metal scene with the release of Rock n Race in 1991. The album quickly developed a following, but the band's story seemed destined to end after that lone release.
What fans didn't know was that TRAXTER's story wasn't quite finished.
Following Rock n Race, the band began writing and developing material for a sophomore release in 1992. New songs were taking shape, but before the project could be completed, TRAXTER went their separate ways. The unfinished material was left behind, and for more than three decades, the possibility of hearing new TRAXTER music seemed to have disappeared with the band itself.
THE STORY RESUMES...
Then, in 2024, something unexpected happened: TRAXTER reunited.
More than 30 years after those songs were first conceived, the band returned to the unfinished chapter of their history and picked up where they had left off. The result is Take Heed - a collection built from music that began during TRAXTER's original era and has finally been brought to completion.
Take Heed isn't simply another archival reissue of a long-lost Christian metal recording. It's the sound of a band returning decades later to finish what they started.
Featuring six previously unreleased compositions presented across seven tracks, Take Heed gives fans the long-awaited final chapter to the TRAXTER story.
